Doelen Limousine Service bv

was founded in 1925 in the heart of Amsterdam in the so-called 'Doelenstraat',
hence the name Doelen.
Originally the first owner just had a few cars as taxis.
After the 2nd World War, when Holland started to use licences for all transport, 'Doelen' got 7 licences for limousines,
2 of which were sold in the50s.

On January 1, 1979 'Doelen', with its 5 licences, was bought
by Mr. Evert Van Wijk.
Because of a successful policy the company grew and grew.

In the 80s another (taxi)company was acquired.
It served the major shipping-agents in the ports of Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
Just for that reason Doelen Limousine Service BV was based in the port of Amsterdam.

Doelen Coach Service bv

To be of an even better service to our clients and to be more diverse,
on November 1, 1983 Mr. van Wijk bought a coach-company.

When the day-to-day work shifted more and more to limousine-work (while at the same time Doelen kept serving the shipping-agents), in January 1992 the company moved to Schiphol Airport to be closer and more convenient to the clients arriving there.

Nowadays, because of that diversity, 'Doelen' is a very flexible, modern limousine and coach company with 26!! licences for limousines/taxis and 20 licences for coaches, that plays a major role in the world of transportation.
